How it Works?

Synthetic deoxycholic acid is the active ingredient in Kybella. It is a molecule that naturally occurs in the body and works to break down and absorb dietary fat. When it is injected into the fat under your chin, it destroys the fat cells, rendering them unable to either store or accumulate more fat. After you have the required number of sessions (generally never more than 6) according to your expert diagnosis, you should not need to repeat the treatment. The process for the treatment is a thorough consultation with your trained healthcare specialist who will advise on the number of injections depending on your aesthetic needs and the amount of fat under your chin. Multiple small injections are given and this takes approximately 20 – 30 minutes, and there is usually a month between sessions.
